Maps Group is proud to announce that the European project PARMENIDES, in which it is a partner, has received an Honorable Mention at the ISGAN Awards of Excellence 2025, a prestigious international recognition promoted by the International Smart Grid Action Network (ISGAN) and the Global Smart Energy Federation (GSEF), under the auspices of the International Energy Agency (IEA).

The award ceremony took place during the Clean Energy Ministerial 16 (CEM16) in Busan, South Korea, and highlighted the world’s most innovative projects on the theme “Excellence in Solutions for Enhanced Grid Operations”, dedicated to the best solutions for optimising grid operations.

Parmenides Honorable Mention

The PARMENIDES project (Plug & plAy eneRgy ManagEmeNt for hybrID Energy Storage) is developing a next-generation Energy Management System (EMS), based on interoperable ontologies, to manage hybrid storage systems within Energy Communities. Its approach integrates the electrical and thermal domains and promotes the secure, standardised sharing of data.

Maps Group contributed its expertise as part of an international consortium including leading academic, industrial, and technological partners such as the Austrian Institute of Technology, Trialog, Energienetze Steiermark, R2M Solution, DERlab, Experientia, and KTH.

This recognition highlights the quality of collaboration and the impact the project will have on the energy transition, making Energy Communities more efficient, resilient, and sustainable.

We are proud to be part of this initiative and to contribute to a project recognised internationally for its innovative value,” stated Maps Group.

“This milestone is the result of the joint efforts of all partners and of a shared vision towards a smarter and more sustainable energy future.”
